Ford Expedition Tire Guide
Tire Sizes, Types & Replacement Guide for Every Expedition Trim

Ford Expedition Tire Sizes by Trim
The Ford Expedition is Ford's largest SUV, carrying up to eight passengers and towing up to 9,300 pounds. That combination of size, weight, and capability means tire selection is critical for safety, ride quality, and towing stability. All Expedition tires must meet higher load ratings than typical SUV tires.

Tire Tips for Your Expedition
- Always match or exceed the OE load index — the Expedition weighs over 5,500 lbs empty and much more when loaded with passengers and cargo
- 22-inch tires cost significantly more than 18-inch — budget $200-350+ per tire depending on brand
- If you tow with your Expedition, tires with a higher load range provide better heat resistance and sidewall stability under load
- The Expedition shares tire sizes with the F-150 across several trims — cross-shopping works for the 18-inch and 20-inch sizes
- Tire rotation is especially important on the heavy Expedition to prevent premature inner-edge wear
