Ford F-250 Tire Guide
Tire Sizes, Types & Replacement Guide for the F-250

Ford F-250 Tire Sizes by Trim
The Ford F-250 is built for heavy towing, farming, construction, and commercial hauling, with towing capacity of up to 22,000 lbs and payload capacity of up to 4,260 lbs. The F-250 is the most popular Super Duty model and the entry point into heavy-duty truck capability. Tires are the foundation of that capability — every F-250 tire must be LT-rated with heavy-duty construction designed for high payloads and trailer loads.

Tire Tips for Your F-250
- Every F-250 tire should be LT-rated with Load Range D or E — passenger-rated (P-metric) tires cannot safely handle F-250 weights
- SRW F-250 trucks share tire sizes with the F-150 at several wheel sizes — cross-shopping works for 17-inch and 20-inch
- All-terrain tires on the Tremor provide excellent traction but may wear faster than highway tires under heavy towing
- When replacing tires, always match all positions — mixing worn and new tires on a F-250 under load is a safety risk
- Tire pressure is critical on F-250 trucks — check and adjust based on load (door jamb sticker shows loaded vs. unloaded pressures)
- Budget $250-400+ per tire for quality LT-rated tires
